About Me

Hi, I’m Kaylie, the creator behind mivi's stories! I’m currently a senior in high school,  living in Southern California.

 

Growing up, I’ve always enjoyed reading and watching cartoons. The storylines are always enjoyable, and on top of that, the artwork is mesmerizing. I love that the illustrations have a variety of hues with characters of all shapes and sizes. I became fascinated by the design and detail put towards each character, inspiring me to create my own and find my purpose. 

 

One day, I was thinking about how many people struggle with expressing their emotions, or feel like they have no one to turn to. Struggling to communicate and express feelings can start from an early age. I then realized that this is where I can help the most. The impacts cartoons had on me helped me discover that I could use cartoons to connect with young children out there who are struggling. I wanted to use my passion of drawing to help solve this issue by creating characters children can identify with to help them recognize what they feel. 

 

Thus, mivi was born. Mivi originates from “navigating me.” The interactive elements illustrated in the books are to assist them in identifying and navigating their feelings so they can enjoy their daily lives.
